Training and Experience:
Dr. Chelsea Manley obtained a master’s degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University in Baltimore before proceeding to earn her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Institute for Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University in Virginia. She completed an APA-accredited internship in clinical psychology at WellSpan Philhaven that focused on women’s health and included training in cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive processing therapy. During her graduate training, Dr. Manley provided psychological services to clients in a variety of settings including university counseling centers, a community outpatient center, and a medical outpatient setting. Dr. Manley has clinical experience treating a diverse population of adults ranging from 18 to 90 years old with diagnoses ranging from mild adjustment disorders to borderline personality disorder. She is a lifelong resident of the Maryland/Virginia/DC area.
When Dr. Manley is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, practicing the martial art of Muay Thai, playing video games, going to concerts, and playing with her cats.
Chelsea is a Registered Psychology Associate under the supervision of licensed psychologist Dr. Catherine Smithmyer, PhD.
